Spongebob The Ugly Barnacle Comes to Bikini Bottom
I was seven years old, and one day, I turned on the TV and found out that there was a new episode of Spongebob Squarepants airing on Nickelodeon. Of course, I loved that show, so I had to watch it.
After the theme song, the title card showed up. It said "The Ugly Barnacle Comes to Bikini Bottom". I was quite intrigued by this, as it was the first time the show has made a callback to a previous episode. However, something was off. The title card's music was extremely dark for what is usually a lighthearted show, but I figured it was just a feature, so I ignored it.
The episode began with Spongebob yelling "I'm Ready" as he exited his house, presumably because he was going to work. Squidward of course was mad about this, as he usually is.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" Squidward yelled, but Spongebob ignored it.
Bubbles then popped up to symbolize the changing of scenes, and it cut to the Krusty Krab. Spongebob was enjoying his job, but then horribly realistic screams of agony were heard in the main area of the restaurant. I was terrified, but I kept on watching. I figured it was only for comedic effect, but then the next scene came.
The Krusty Krab was filled with fish with eyes completely rotted out in a very realistic manner, and to make matters worse, the sky was a dark green like it was in the episode where Spongebob and Squidward worked at the Krusty Krab at Night (Sorry, I forget the name). This was weird, as just a second ago it was daytime.
The screen panned to show a dark silhouette walking away. It was the Ugly Barnacle. Spongebob barely missed it.
Spongebob ran over to Sandy's house in hopes of finding an answer to the deaths. Sandy explained that she may have known what it was, but right before she told Spongebob, she looked outside and saw the Ugly Barnacle. Spongebob ran as Sandy rotted.
Bikini Bottom was in ruins, and at this point, there were only two survivors left: Spongebob and Patrick. Spongebob ran to Patrick's house and told him that everyone was dying. Patrick was unaware of this, but once he found out, he was rather calm about it. He explained that the story he told to Spongebob in the episode with the Ugly Barnacle story was not fiction, but rather a prophecy. And then, the two characters suddenly had their eyes rotted out and they fell to the floor.
The screen then faded to black as Patrick's voice echoed "Everyone Died. The End", and then suddenly, the Barnacle flashed on the screen. This actually killed me, I am a ghost.
Nickelodeon claims this episode was never made, but the millions of deaths beg a differ.
