Minecraft White Out: YOU
Minecraft is a common game where you can survive the night and fight off monsters, create anything you want, or just play someone's custom map. You can also play online (which is one of my favorites) and create your own server. I have played minecraft many times and have found this game enjoyable. The other day was like any other summer day. I spent all my day playing Minecraft, but I encountered something very strange. I started up Minecraft as usual and opened up my survival world. This world is very old and I haven't played this particular world in a while. I got my stuff from my chest and started to go mining for other minerals. I was at about diamond level and decided to go back up to the surface. As usual, I was lost in my own mine shaft and didn't want to tear the whole place up while looking for the exit. I equipped my pickaxe and started to dig straight up. While digging straight up, I remembered that almost the whole place was covered by an ocean. I got ready for a splash of water from the ceiling and went up. When I was up, I couldn't find the island that I was living on.
I explored a bit and finally found it. A strange thought had occured to me while going to my underground house. I thought to myself "Why have I never seen any other land on this world?" I was curious and confused, but I put that thought away and continued to put all my supplies in my chest. I was almost out on wooden planks and decieded to chop one of my glorious trees down. I was on the other side of the island and I looked at the dirt pillar and headed there. The fact that I haven't seen a other single piece of land kept on bothering me. "I can't leave this thought lingering in my head" I thought to myself. I created a boat and put it in the water. As I put the boat in the water, it started to seem gloomy. I checked my settings to see if any of them were changed. None of them had. I started to travel north for what seemed like 30 minutes until I gave up, but as I was turning around I saw a little piece of land. It was little, but it was land other than my island. I got off the boat, but I was frozen. I couldn't move towards the land. All I could do is watch my character sink to the bottom of the ocean and drown. I thought it was just a bug that occurs.
When I spawned, I got another boat and swiftly put it in the water and headed north. After the wait of long ocean, I saw the piece of land again. I tried going towards it, but this time i got on it. This time was strange. As soon as I got on the island, the game crashed. It wasn't like any other crashed Minecraft game though. A window popped up after freezing my screen. The pop-up was blank and only read the word '"YOU'" in quotation marks Instead of listing the reasons for why the program crashed in the first place. I had never seen anything like this before, so I searched it up... and no results. I searched up Minecraft drown bug. I saw results, but none of them was the one I expierenced. I searched at least for an hour and never found the result I was looking for, so I gave up on that. I decieded to open up Minecraft again, but something was missing when I was on the sign-in page. The update page was gone and so was the Minecraft logo. Still looking for answers, I continued on. On the title screen you could see that the background looked as if it was messed with. This confused me because the only way the background could look different is if you have a texturepack on or a mod. I had niether of those on my Minecraft. When I loaded up my Minecraft, the texturepack looked different. I double-checked the texture I was on. It was the default. The leaves looked solid light green and the logs looked white. The grass wasn't green as usual, it was white with a texture of black letter "D" looking shapes layering it. The water and the stones were white also. Everything accept the tools and the mobs looked tampered with. That wasn't the only thing that was messed with. The music sounded distorted; it was playing as if a 4 year old was playing a creepy piano song. The music was backwards and beginning to freak me out.
This is where it gets strange. Everything in my inventory was duplicated and I had an unknown item. When I put my cursor over the item it read "DON'T." I was shocked at what happened next. I died randomly out of nowhere and spawned again. The texturepack was back to normal, but the music was intensified. It seemed as if the game was mad at me for trying to attempt to escape the island. When I looked in my inventory, everything in my inventory was boats as if the game was mocking me. I had enough of this mocking and tried going towards the island. As I was going towards the island, the music intensified more and was faster, louder, and more notes played. When I reached the island there was a sign that said "DON'T." I guess that's what it meant by the unknown item. I destroyed the sign and got on the island. I put a sign down and put "You're not real so you can't do anything to me." A few seconds after I put the sign down Minecraft crashed again. This time the crash report read "YES I CAN."
I just couldn't believe what happened. When I tried opening up Minecraft again, it only read Missing Tex. I tried opening up Minecraft again, but it did the same thing. I must have tried opening Minecraft about 20 times until I gave up. I remember it as if it happened a second ago. It has been about 3 days since then. I can't get the memory out of my head. A lot of my questions went unanswered. What was communicating with me? What was happening? Is it still in my computer? All I know now is that it hasn't happened in 3 days.
This story is 100% true. I honestly don't care if you think this is real or not. I only wanted to share this story with you guys.
