Minecraft - The Forbidden Room
This message is for those who don't take him seriously. He isn't known to be forgiving.
It all began when I started up my Minecraft client. I quickly clicked "Singleplayer," and sat back in my chair as the world loaded. I eventually spawned in the middle of a tundra biome. I noticed, to my surprise, that (What, you thought Herobrine jumped out and sliced my head in two?) I had many animals around me. Plenty of food.
I beat some wood off a tree, and quickly made a crafting table. I proceed to obtain wood until I have enough to make an axe. Now I can get plenty more pieces, and quickly too. After I had settled into the side of a mountain, I crafted a chest, and placed my previously-made crafting table next to it. I created a pickaxe, and mined stone until I had considerably better weapons and tools. Then, it all began.
Now, I've been looking forward to the next update, which, as far as I know, will allow you to write books, Create sandstone stairs, select potions straight from creative mode, and plant tripwires, among other things. Oh, and lets not forget the ender chest.
Anyways, I started mining deep underground, and I came across a mineshaft.
Now, there were two things about this shaft that set it apart from others. First of all, the supports for the top of the shaft (Wooden fence stacked on each other,) were replaced with nether brick fence. Okay, lets see; I'm not in the nether, and I'm not on multiplayer. This doesn't look good.
The second thing I noticed was that all the torches I came across were made of redstone. These cast an eerie glow over the shaft, which didn't help with my uneasiness.
That set aside, I continued exploring, looking for some chests. I was just my luck that I came across one a minute later. I opened the lid, only to find... a book and quill? I'm feeling increasingly paranoid. This shouldn't be here. That update isn't out yet. I set it in my inventory, and thought for a bit. I came to the conclusion that, possibly, I had gotten half of the new update. Feeling cheery, I began to write in the book.
"This is going to be the best update ever"
I published the book, and reviewed it's info.
Everything seemed normal: The title (Teh Updatez), which was right above my username. I opened the book to see what it looked like inside after I finished, and was greeted with the text "GO TO HELL."
I immediatley closed the book, and saw that the author's name and title were replaced with horribly blood-red letters, which spelled "RUN AWAY."
I flung the book away from me, and took the chest. I was sprinting down the shaft to my home, when I heard a noise. This noise reminded me of leaves rustling together, crackling and hissing. I slowly turned around to see at LEAST five-hundred silverfish surging towards me. I took out my flint and steel, thinking quickly, and placed a wall of fire between me and my attackers. It would burn out, but it should give me time to escape.
I found the mineshaft's exit, and, relieved, made my way towards it. But it couldn't of been that easy, could it? The rock beneath me turned to sand, and I fell down......down.
And lost about six hearts. I cursed, fearing I'd lose all my items. I looked around to find myself in a room of bedrock. There seemed to be no way out, except through the hole I fell from. I could easily use my mined rock to build a way back up. My hopes were immediately extinguished, however, when I heard a piston sound. A block of bedrock moved directly over the hole, and it became dark.
I crawled to a corner, and sat. Suddenly, holes open in the bedrock around me, and lava pours in. It was a slow-motion nightmare, as the burning matter inched, second by second, into my prison. I knew I would lose all my items.
I could see a room over the lava through one of the holes, and I could of sworn I saw a flash of bright, white eyes.
My computer shut down as the lava consumed me.
