Minecraft: The Mineshaft Goblins

I started a survival match on Minecraft and spawned in a forest biome. As usual, I collected wood and built a house.

I set out to get more wood, but I came upon a large hole in a mountain that led underground. I proceeded into the hole and made my way to a platform. I noticed that the stone blocks formed a perfect way to the bottom of this ravine, sort of like stairs. I descended the stone blocks, but as I did I noticed that I didn't go down in a bumpy fashion like when descending a mountain. When I reached the bottom of the stone blocks I noticed something.

They weren't stone blocks. They were stone stairs.

This was strange, as I had not made these stairs. I had not even mined a single stone block yet. I had just made this new world and started the game. I confirmed that I was on a single player, non LAN enabled world. I was the only one here.

I decided that the stairs were just a programing quirk, so I continued on to the underground. I came to a dead end after walking for about a minute through the underground. I began to dig through the wall in front of me. I had been digging for about thirty minutes when I came upon an abandoned mineshaft.

I hate mineshafts, but I thought while I was there, I might as well loot it. I found a chest, and took some coca beans, string and paper from it. I started to head back, but I saw that I couldn't find the exit.

I was lost.

I was stuck in this mineshaft.

I was scared. I really hate mineshafts. They creep me out. I made a crafting table with extra wood that I had, then I made a wood sword. I put it and my first slot and prepared to defend myself. I was walking aimlessly around. Every so often a mob would come, but I would quickly dispatch it.

Then I found myself at the entrance of a very dark tunnel. I stupidly proceeded, and came to another mineshaft. It was very dark, and I couldn't see. I did not notice that there were no blocks in front of me.

I fell very far and hit the bottom of an abyss. I survived, but I only had one heart left. I was still in the mineshaft. There were some zombies and creepers around me in the deep part of this mineshaft, so I ran behind a minecart track before I could be seen. I took cover in the mineshaft for many hours, killing all mobs that attempted to steal my last heart.

I heard something that has scared me more than ever before.

I heard a drumbeat and a sick, twisted laugh.

I almost passed out with fear, as I saw shadows coming and heard the footsteps of about three people. Whatever the things were, they were carrying lit torches.

I ran as fast as my character would go.

The things were after me, and I could not escape. I had hit another dead end.

This was no ordinary dead end though. This dead end had a one block wide trap leading all the way to the void. I was glad that I had stopped running. The things caught up to me.

They stood about 5 blocks away from me. The one in front moved toward me, but in a glitchy, messed up way.

They appeared to be horrific looking orange goblins with iron swords, lit torches, and a drum. There horrible appearance frightened me. Then, all of a sudden a chat box opened. It said:

MineshaftGoblin: You've been here too long. Prepare to leave.

I remembered the stone stairs. These goblins must have made them. The Mineshaft Goblin spoke once more. It said:

MineshaftGoblin: Any last words?

I responded this time:

sluggy_18: What are you?

It didn't respond. Instead it punched me and I flew into the void trap. Even though I was punched with only one heart left, I didn't die. I fell in the void for what seemed like forever. I suddenly stopped falling after a while, only to see a Mineshaft Goblin in front of me. It said:

MineshaftGoblin: Goodbye, forever...

My screen began pulsing like when you go in a nether portal. When it was done however, my screen went totally black. This blackness remained for about ten seconds. Then my screen turned blood red, and a Mineshaft Goblin's face was in the middle.

An ear-piercing shriek sounded from my computer.

Minecraft crashed. Then it deleted itself from my computer.

I was filled with the biggest fear I have ever experienced. I began sweating profusely with fear. My computer was fine after the incident, but I was so shocked that I shut down my computer and went to my room.

I posted this from my other computer, my laptop.

I have already deleted Minecraft off of my laptop. This goblin incident has scared me away from Minecraft for good. They have made me unable to sleep. I haven't left my house for anything besides school. They are there, in real life. I haven't talked to anyone since then, because I know that they are out to get me.

I will never, ever play Minecraft again.
