Lost Sonic Proto
Day 1
One Day, I Was Trying To Find Some Sega Genesis Games On Ebay. When One Game Caught My Attention, "Sonic The Hedgehog Prototype Late 1990". I Thought The Seller Was Bullshitting Because There Was Only One Sonic 1 Proto Released At The Time. However, I Bought It Anyways Just To See What Would Happen. A Few Days Later, The Game Arrived. The Cartridge Didn't Look Like An Ordinary Sega Genesis Cart. The Cart Just Had "Sonic The Hedgehog" Plastered In The Center With The Sega Logo At The Bottom. When I Put This Game Into My Genesis, The Sega Chant Was Nowhere To Be Seen. Instead I Got The Regular Sega Screen From Most Other Genesis Games.
Then The Title Screen Appeared, At First I Thought This Was Just The Already Found Prototype. However When I Started The Game, I Started At "Green Hills Zone". The Level Was Mostly The Same As The Prototype Already Found. Except The Background Was A Solid Dark Blue, And The Music Sound Different. I Haven't Played Much More Of This Game Beyond Green Hills Act 2. I'll Get Back To You Tomorrow.
Day 2
Alright. This Time I Recorded Some Gameplay From Green Hills. You Can Find It Below. However During My Off-Camera Playthrough, I'd Noticed That When Loading A New Level, The Screen Will Flash Red For A Second, Then Proceed With The Title Cards. I Figured This Was Just A Glitch. When I Beat The Boss And Got To The Goal Post, I Went Straight Into Labyrinth Zone. Now Knowing What Happens In Labyrinth Zone In The Prototype That Was Found, I Thought The Game Would Just End There. However, The Level Continued Up Until I Got To The End. I Had Accidentally Performed The Labyrinth Crash From The Final Game And The Game Crashed. Pressing C Made The Screen Flicker Red And Power Off My Sega Genesis. I Turned The System Back On And Did The Level Select Code. To My Surprise, There Was A Weird Level I Never Heard Of Called "Rocky Mountain Zone". When I Went Into The Level, An Error Message Popped Up Saying "You Must Beat The Levels Before To Play This Zone." So I Started Labyrinth Zone Again And Got To The End. There Wasn't A Boss This Time. I Then Went Into "Sparkling Zone" (a.k.a Spring Yard Zone). Strangely In This Level, There Was A Lack Of Objects (And Springs For That Matter). When It Was Time To Get To "Rocky Mountain Zone", The Game Crashed And The Console Reset. It Pissed Me Off. I'm Too Pissed Off To Play This Game Right Now, I'm Gonna Go Take A Shit.
Day 3
Ok, So Before I Talk About Today, I Wanted To Mention I Forgot The Gameplay For Yesterday And Couldn't Find The Footage. So Whoopie-Fuck. Anyways, I Went Back Into Level Select. And This Time I Was Able To Get Into Rocky Mountain Zone No Problem. Rocky Mountain Zone Was VERY Unfinished. Rocky Mountain's Backdrop Was Missing. However When I Went Into Act 3. There Was No Collision. Then The Game Crashed For The Third Fucking Time. However I Reset The Console And Went Back Into Rocky Mountain Zone. However When I Went Back Into Act 3, The Game Had A Fucking Aneurysm. Then Text Started Flashing And Glitching, All I Could Get Was "You Should". Weird As All Fucking Hell. I Skipped To Marble Ruin Zone Which Was Surprisingly More Finished. The Stage Was Green And Blue Instead Of Green And Purple, There Were Flying UFO's And Yellow Platforms. And The Stage Was Much Harder Than In The Final Game. Nothing Interested Happened Until I Got To "Twightlight Zone", Possibly A Placeholder Reference. This Level Was Even Less Finished Than Rocky Mountain Zone. Even The Music Was Missing A Few Instruments. Act 2 Crashed The Game. I Got Way Too Fucking Pissed Off And Lit The Cart On Fire. And I Didn't Give A Shit, That Shit Was Probably Possessed Or Some Shit. So This Should Be My Last Entry.
Day 4
What The Actual Fuck Is Going On. Too Start Off, I Had The Weirdest Fucking Dream Where I Was Playing The Prototype Again (For Some Fucking Reason). However It Cut To Sonic Being Chained To The Ball From Green Hill Zone. Then He Got Pushed In The Labyrinth Zone Water And Drowned. And Another Thing, The Cart Is Back Even Though I Burned It Yesterday. I Played It Again Just To See What The Fuck Was Going On. I Skipped To "Clock Work Zone". This Was The Most Unfinished Level Yet. The Music Was Lower Pitched And Was Only The Bass, Drums, And Melody. This Level Had No Collision Like All Of The Other Levels. Surprisingly, The Game Didn't Crash. So I Enable Debug Mode And Level Select And Went Back Into Clock Work. Going Through The Level In Debug Mode Revealed The Level Just Stopped Out Of Nowhere. There Were Only 2 "Levels" Left. "Zone", And "Special Stage". The Special Stage Just Crashes The Game. "Zone" Was The Most Fucked Up Of Them All. This Time There Was Collision On The Ground. When I Got To The Section Where The Boss Should Be. There Was Dr. Robotnik On The Floor, Bleeding. Then The Weirdest Shit Happened, The Colors Were Glitching Out And The Screen Was Shaking And Everything Was Shaking. Then The Game Crashed Again. I Chucked The Game Out The Window And Never Saw It Again. I've Had Enough For One Night. I'm Gonna Go Jerk Off.
