Herobrine's Basement
My name is Yuri.I'm 12 years old, and love to play video games, especially minecraft.I was playing minecraft while skyping with my friend smith on his server. I was home alone so I could swear all I wanted. Whenever I log on, I check the player list and how many there are, because my computer isn't the fastest, and I need to know what I'm rendering, and also just to know What I'm in for. When I logged on, I saw smith, a couple of friends of mine, a whole lot of random people that play on the server, and of course, me, Yuri. It was a standered server. although, it didn't really know what it was trying to be. for one,we had a lot of plugins installed (it was a bukkit server) so we had stuff like factions, homes, etc. it was set up like a faction/anarchy server, but the thing is though, the ops would just build random shit and screw around. this made what people were doing really inconsistant, and for the people that WEREN'T ops, they either had ultimate enchanted weapons given to them by ops, or were OWNED by the ones that did. yeah, the server was a mess, but we had fun. we were all great friends. so, after I logged on we just went by the normal afairs, doing whatever the hell we wanted (I was an op, and since it was his server, of corse he was an op). we laughed at the other players failing to even leave the spawn to get to their houses, since they couldn't so much as leave the area without getting owned by the ones with ultimate enchanted weapons. a lot of players rage-quit over that, and we found it hystarical. it wasn't long after that that he came. actually, I don't think anyone knew EXACTLY when he came.it never said that he logged in, its just that we started to notice messages in the chat sent by someone with the username "herobrine". I didn't think much of it at first. after all, my friend had that nickname plugin, so I was 99.9% certain that he was someone just playing a trick, or even just someone that wanted to be called herobrine? however, when I pointed out to smith that there was someone named herobrine he froze."...quit playing tricks on me yuri" he said."I'm not playing tricks! look at his name in the chat! did you set his name to that? or is he an op?" I replied."...yuri... you and I are the only 2 ops on the server"."dude, quit trying to scare me! if we're the only 2 ops on the server, you were the one that named him!". I was started to get annoyed."please man, trust me. I'm serious. I didn't give him that name. you gotta believe me". I can't explain what it was about his voice here that made me believe him. he just had a tone to his voice that was so dead serious, that you would have to be one hell of an actor to pull it off if you were joking. and I know him well enough to know he'sHORRIBLE at lying. So, I decided to do the logical thing and confront the so-called "herobrine", but first, I checked the players list.only 3 players were on: me, smith, and so-called "herobrine". that made me more than a bit uneasy. so I entered "hey mr. 'herobrine' how are you?".that's when we noticed what he was posting in chat before we confronted him:"I will not forgive you.No matter how many times you say "sorry".You cannot free me.I will not forgive you." initially, we blew it off as a joke. I mean, when in hell would you take that shit seriously? although that still didn't explain how he got his name, and how 14 players just disapeared without even a "___ left tha game/got disconnected" message. mid-thought he replied, which startled me in my state of fear. "I'm doing very well indeed. would you like to take a look inside my house? I put much effort into it." "...y'still there?" I aked smith, just to put my mind at ease. "yeah, I'm here... this is really freaky." I let out a sigh of relief. at least smith was here to keep me company. so, hesitantly, I replied, "sure, let me TP to you real quick". this was a great test to see if smith was lying (on the off chance that he was). by typing "/tp (MyUserName) HeroBrine" it would only work if herobrine was ACTUALLY his username and not just a nick set in the chat with a bukkit command. so, I typed the command in, and, much to my dismay, it actually worked. I tried desperately to keep a cool head, to no avail. so, I found myself in a standered area on the server, albeit more serene an area than most places in this game, and there it was. a pretty normal house, with herobrine standing right next to me looking at it. I ran away a bit, and then looked at herobrine, the same one we all know as an urban legend. he innocenty asked me "what?" as we stared into each other's eyes. I reported everything that happened to me to smith as it happened, and he seemed scared shitless. I replied to so-called "herobrine" and said "oh, it's nothing. so, please do show me around your house." the great thing about typing is that you don't have to have good acting skill to not seem like you're lying. and so, he opened the door, and showed me around his house. it was actually a really, really nice house. no, nothing to original or over the top, but nice nonetheless. and herobrine himself actually seemed like a cool guy, he was probably just a hacker that used his tools to change his name, but nothing else. or hell, he's PROBABLY just the guy that has the account titled herobrine, and by chance, came on this server. either way, it didn't matter as long as he was cool. I had calmed down a lot, but smith didn't. so just as I was about to leave his house I noticed a trap door in the corner of the entry room I hadn't noticed before. I pointed this out, and "herobrine" replied "...go ahead. head down there". just that phrasing. it brought a lot of my unnease back, but I decided to shrug it off and went to the trapdoor. after all it WAS only minecraft, and even if this is "cursed" which isn't even possible, it can't ever hurt me in real life. after I said that, smith pretty much had a heart attack and screamed "I'M SHUTTING DOWN THE SERVER! THIS IS TOO MUCH, I HAVE THE POWER TO END THIS, SO I WILL!" after that, he claimed to take down the server, but from what I could tell, it was still up. I was still seeing changes to the world through the window, seeing sheep eat grass. when I said that I got no reply. nothing. after a second he got disconnected from skype and listed as "offline". unneasy, I said to myself "if this is a joke smith, you're going way too far". after much hesitation, I went down the ladder beneath the trapdoor. it was quite long. after what felt like a minute, i made it too the bottom and entered the room. the room I saw a room STRIKINGLY similar to the torture room in higurashi: when they cry. when I turned around, the ladder was gone, and the only thing there was herobrine. after that, he hit me with a stick. although i dont know what this did in the game, I know what it did in real life. I went unconscious for about 20 minutes. when I woke up, I was in my computer chair, like before. however, I couldn't move my character. as I looked around I saw I was on a torture device. herobrine said in chat "so you're finally awake?". at that point I pissed my pants. I looked for my sword to attack him, but my inventory was empty. i was totally speachless. after about 5 seconds he said "nothing to say? well, that sure is boring. maybe THIS will make it interesting!" he started stabbing my character, and I felt REAL PAIN. I'm not joking REAL FUCKING PAIN!I tried to turn off my computer but it didn't work. even unplugging the god forsaken thing wouldn't do me any good! I was done for! You may all be wondering how I got out of this situation to write this. well, I didn't. even at this very moment, blood is spewing out of me wherever he stabs as we speak. I'm done for. I should have listened to smith.but I just hope YOU'LL listen to ME. If you ever meat herobrine on your minecraft server, no matter HOW COOL A GUY HE SEEMS. NEVER. EVER, EVER Enter his basement.if you're not suicidal that is.
In the end, What he said was true though. he has every reason to be angry. I would feel the same way in his situation. His own brother trapped him in this game. He can never be freed. He won't forgive you notch. He won't.
