Generic Gaming Pasta: A Choose Your Own Adventure!
(THIS PAGE IS STILL HEAVY WORK IN PROGRESS!)
So, you want to make a creepypasta? It's easy! Basically, just write a scary story and wait for the fandom to come rolling in! What's that? You're not good at making spooky stories? Don't worry! This will help you! Just fill in the blanks and you'll have a totally unique gaming creepypasta that isn't the same as every other gaming pasta! I should stop speaking in such a cheesy way, too.
Beginning
Most gaming pastas begin with the character (usually you) buying a game or downloading a hacked ROM from somewhere, later to find out that it's somehow cursed (OH SHIT, I JUST SPOILED THE ENTIRE STORY). So we'll use something like that. First, you'll need to decide how you obtain your game.
1. You buy it at a garage sale.
2. You buy it off eBay.
3. You download a ROM from a site on the internet (In this case, we'll just use some gaming forum).
1. Garage Sale
One day, I was driving around and then I saw a garage sale. I decided to stop and look around to see if they had something interesting for sale. Eventually, I found...
Now we'll decide what game you buy.
1. Super Mario Bros. for the NES.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for the Nintendo 64.
3. Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
4. Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Xbox 360.
5. Pokemon: Red Version for the Gameboy.
1.1. Super Mario Bros.
Eventually, I found a cartridge for Super Mario Bros. for the NES. I went to the old man who was running the garage sale and asked him how much it was. He said it was free, but just as I was leaving, he said "Be careful, this game has unknown powers." I felt confused, but I figured he was just messing with me. When I got home, I turned the TV on and popped the cartridge into the NES.
Now we'll choose what happens.
1. Subtle things happen, but they get stranger later on. You assume they're just glitches at first, but then realise that there is something wrong with the game later on.
2. Creepy stuff starts happening as soon as you get to the title screen. You realise that it's cursed.
1.2: The Legend of Zelda
So, I found a copy of The Legend of Zelda for the NES. I asked the guy running the garage sale how much for it, and he told me, in a fearful tone, to have for free. "Please destroy it, do not play it!!!'' he said. But I felt he was trolling me. So, when I got home, I turned the TV on in popped the cartridge into the NES. I wish I had not done so.

2. eBay
One day, I was browsing around eBay, looking for something to buy. I then decided to look for...

2.1. Super Mario Bros.
I then decided to look for Super Mario Bros. I came across a cartridge that was in great condition, and best of all, it was free and no-one else was buying it. I ordered it and started waiting for it to come. A few days later, it arrived in the mail. I turned on the TV and popped the cartridge in the NES.

3. ROM
One day, I was on the internet, browsing my favourite gaming forum. I then came across a ROM for...

3.1. Super Mario Bros.
I then came across a ROM for Super Mario Bros. for the NES. There weren't any comments on the thread. The strange thing was, it said it was a Special Edition. I looked it up on Google, but there was no such thing as Super Mario Bros.: Special Edition. However, there was such thing as Super Mario All-Stars: Special Edition, but that was for the Wii. I downloaded the ROM anyways, and then launched it with an NES emulator.
