Digger
Everyone has heard of Herobrine, a mythical "ghost" that haunts Minecraft - a great many have also heard of the legends surrounding the Enderman (who in himself is based on the Slender Man mythos).
Yet few have heard the story of Digger, a Minecraft demon that while perhaps not the most scary of creatures is still disturbing if only for the fact that it defies our basic understanding of reality - Digger can not be real, by the very fact that Minecraft is a fictional world: yet Digger's presence has been felt by several players in all versions of the game (survival, creative, single-player, multiplayer and even hard-mode).
So, what exactly is Digger? Much like Herobrine the entity known as Digger is said to appear as an ordinary player but is constantly digging - he will not respond to players, he can not be attacked and enemy mobs ignore his presence: most disturbing of all is Digger's ability to bypass almost any obstacle in the game as he digs continually: the crazed miner can be found "digging" his way through lava, water and other such obstacles without apparent harm.
Digger is known for moving erratically, carving a literal path of destruction in his wake with his continual digging - many claim that once Digger has spawned a player has no other option but to restart their world in order to be rid of the destructive force.
Part of what makes Digger disturbing is that he does not target players directly, in fact he seems oblivious to their presence - instead he continually digs, which can prove hazardous enough in itself as Digger's activities can destroy the surrounding environment if given enough time: should Digger spawn underground players face even greater risk of Digger causing havoc with his activities.
