Bye Bye Dora
Hello. My name is Stanley Crews. I was a big fan of Dora the Explorer ever since 2004, and the movie they made, "Dora & the Lost City of Gold" was definitely awesome. Unfortunately, I found out that the show was cancelled right after the movie. And to me, I don't think it deserves to be cancelled. 1 year after the movie, I noticed that 1 of my friends were having a garage sale. I decided to check it out. None of the items they were selling seemed interesting to me, except for 1 item. It was a blue tape, and it said "Bye Bye Dora" in marker. It was kinda weird because I don't recall Nickelodeon making a series finale for Dora the Explorer, but I was curious so, so I decided to take it with me for 50 cents.
It was 6:30 PM. I injected the tape in my old tape player, and that's where it begins. The tape went straight to the Paramount feature presentation, and after that, the intro began. However, the kids that were supposed to be in the intro weren't there. And there was no Dora nor Boots. I felt kinda weirded out, but I decided to just rub it off. Face then appeared in the screen, but he never said anything. All he was doing was staring at the screen. This lasted 2 minutes, and after that, the Dora intro began. However, there were no lyrics, and Dora and her friends weren't on the computer as usual. That was just nothing though, because after that....
that was where the trouble began....
The episode started in some forest. There was no Dora, nor Boots. Usually, they appear right when the episode begins, but they're not there though. I also heard birds chirping in the background. It was actually kinda calming... Unfortunately, it only lasted for 5 minutes. After those calming 5 minutes, the forest became redish. It got redish every second, and the chirping became more distorted too. After that was 2 minutes of static, followed by 2 rotting corpses. That was when I heard a strong wind. The corpse on the right was Dora and the corpse on the left was Boots. Dora's corpse was missing a portion of skin from her left side of her face and her right hand. Her left eye was also exposed due to loss of skin on her face as I said earlier, and the pupil on her eye was gray. It also looked very small, and it looked like the eye was bulging. Boots' corpse had a left eye hanging from his socket and was missing and eye from his other socket. I couldn't tell if Dora was missing her other eye because it's closed.
This lasted for 4 minutes until it glitched into what seemed to be a real graveyard. There were tombstones for Dora and Boots, and behind those tombs were Dora's other friends. Benny the Bull, Tico the Squirrel, Swiper the Fox, and others, and they all looked very depressed. Even Dora's parents were there as well. There was also graveyard music. Y'know, the music they usually play when people are burying corpses (As in the dun-dun-du-dun dun-du-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun). After 10 minutes of that the screen cut to static again, which lasted a few seconds. Red plain text then appeared on the screen in front of a blue background. It said,
"R.!.P"
"Dora the Explorer"
After that, the screen faded to black, with white text, saying, "Show's over", then the tape ejected itself. I was traumatized by what I just saw, and I decided to send Nickelodeon a letter, regarding the tape I just saw. After a whole week, they replied to me back with another letter saying, "Dear, Stanley, we apologize for what you saw. This tape was first discovered in Nickelodeon Studios, and unfortunately for us, some of the workers watched that tape. Please send us the tape so we can make sure no one watches it again." And so I did. After 2 months, I finally got over from what I saw in the tape, hoping that no one will be able to watch it again.
