BEN: My Experiences
Most of you know the infamous BEN (Majora's Mask) Creepypasta. While it has been said that it was all a hoax, I have some experiences with the said BEN ghost. It all started when I was at my cousin's house. We got bored and decided to go on Cleverbot to mess with "BEN". This conversation seemed a little odd for a BEN conversation. The bot was responding more quickly, and did not seem like stuff a bot would say. At one point, it said that getting life would end ours. This tripped us out later on when we started playing. Here's everything that happened.
We told "BEN" to haunt our cartridge. He said okay, so we went to go turn on the game. The night before, we were messing with the game, and I would tap the cartridge when my cousins weren't looking to make it freeze, just to scare them. This night, however, I left it alone. The first time we turned it on we saw right off that something was wrong. The two profiles that had been there for years were erased. Just for shits and giggles I decided to name the two profiles BEN and DROWNED. I started the profile BEN, and we all returned to mess around on the computer until the intro was over.
This is where things really got strange. At the part where Link gets dragged by Epona as Skull Kid tries to escape, Link died. I awakened with no hearts, no sword, now shield and a complete inventory of Ocarina of Times. We played on. Everything ran normal from here, except the video quality did seem a little fuzzier than normal. When I got to the part where you first meet the salesman. I was able to turn right back into human Link due to my ungodly amounts of Ocarinas.
I decided to continue playing as the Deku Link anyway. As usual the racist dog decided to be an asshole and tackle me, but instead of just knocking me down, it killed me. I reappeared outside the Clock Tower and continued playing. I jumped up to get the heart piece on the tower and when coming in contact with it, I did again (this is where the whole "getting a life would end ours" part tripped us out).
As interested as we were freaked out we continued playing. Everything ran normal except that whenever we got a heart we died, and only one hit from an enemy would kill us. We decided to go up to fight the Skull Kid and get the Ocarina back, even though we already had a shitload of them. I had no magic so was out of luck, I had to wait for the world to end. It ended normally, but then the weirdest part happened.
I reawakened inside the Clock Tower as Fierce Deity Link. Only he had no legs and looked like he was being possessed. It showed the organ with an empty chair, yet the mask saleman's laugh could be heard. Then the note chart to learn the Song of Healing came up. Naturally I played it, and it showed the normal scene where Link transforms back into a human. At the part where the Deku mask should have hit the floor, the sound of the mask dropping sounded, but no mask was visible. Then the screen turned white with multicolored pixels, and a distorted Song of Healing began to play. We turned it off and tried to play a different game, but none of the other games seemed to work, yet Majora's Mask had no problem playing. We got back to the file select screen to see that the original two profiles were back.
We did take video, though poor quality videos, with my iPod. We took the videos in parts because certain parts were perfectly normal gameplay. We didn't get the whole Fierce Deity scene, only the part where we played the Song of Healing and the game froze. We also did not get the part where Link died in the intro since we had no clue it was going to happen.
There used to be videos embedded in this page, however the original author appears to have taken them down from YouTube.
